PCRF Palestine Children’s Relief Fund

Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), founded in 1991 by concerned humanitarians in the USA, provides free medical care to thousands of injured and ill children yearly who lack local access to care within the local health care system.  Over the years, they’ve sent over 2,000 affected children abroad for free medical care, sent thousands of international doctors and nurses to provide tens of thousands of children free medical care in local hospitals, and provided tens of thousands of children humanitarian aid and support they otherwise would not get.

PCRF's impact also includes establishing two pediatric cancer departments in Palestine, a new PICU and pediatric cardiology department in Ramallah, and many more critical projects to sustainably bolster the region's healthcare system. Their foundation relies on grassroots efforts, supported by a worldwide network of thousands of volunteers, to fulfill our humanitarian mission.  They are a volunteer-based nonprofit, so please join their efforts.

Islamic Relief USA

Islamic Relief USA provides relief and development in a dignified manner regardless of gender, race, or religion, and works to empower individuals in their communities and give them a voice in the world.

Since the beginning of the truce, 150 aid trucks carrying humanitarian supplies have been allowed entry into the north. While issues related to the delivery of humanitarian aid persist, IRUSA partners have completed the following interventions:

  • Distribution of food parcels sourced by local farmers in Gaza to displaced families

  • Provision of hygiene kits to people in shelters

  • Provision of vital medical supplies to three hospitals including Hayfa Hospital, Al-Awda Hospital, and Al-Ahli Arab Hospital

  • Access to mobile clinics for 23,400 people in shelters

  • Immediate trauma response for 4,000-5,000 people

  • Winter aid including blankets, mattresses, and winter clothing

Human Concern International

Over the years, HCI has carried out various relief efforts in response to natural disasters, conflicts, and other emergencies. Their relief work includes the provision of essential items such as food, shelter, and medical supplies, as well as the implementation of long-term development projects to help communities build resilience and self-sufficiency.

Human Concern International is on the ground in Palestine.

Their relief effort comprises three phases:

  1. Emergency Relief providing necessities and healthcare;

  2. Early Recovery focuses on rebuilding permanent housing and supporting education;

  3. Community Development involves restoring health systems, providing psychosocial support, and rebuilding infrastructure and social systems.

Palestine Red Crescent Society

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is an officially recognized independent Palestinian National Society. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The Society, which operates in Palestine and the diaspora, is guided by the Geneva Conventions and the Movement’s Fundamental Principles, i.e. Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity, and Universality.

PRCS volunteers helped to get the 20 UNRWA trucks to move aid into the UNRWA warehouse in the Gaza Strip. PRCS has been preparing and setting up the needed structures and support to manage aid through Radar crossing for the past week (end of November 2023), including mobilization of staff and volunteers, renting extra storage space, and working intensively with the Egyptian Red Crescent to coordinate priority needs.

They have had at least 1132 aid trucks into the Gaza Strip and are a fundamental part of aid to people in Gaza.

Penny Appeal

Penny Appeal projects are carefully constructed and designed to be accessible and effective. They are a blend of emergency support, short-term relief, and longer-term sustainable interventions. They have a multi-focus approach to help immediate situations but also improve situations in the future by building community and homes, and giving the foundational structure for people to be able to support themselves independently.

Penny Appeal is on the ground working directly with this hospital in Jerusalem, as well as United Nations shelters, hospitals, and medical clinics throughout Gaza, to provide much-needed critical medical aid to our sisters and brothers as and when needed.

Muslim Hands

Muslim Hands is established in the UK and also has a Canadian-based registered charity. They’re dedicated to serving the most vulnerable people across the world by addressing the root causes of poverty and empowering communities.

Muslim Hands Canada is working with partners on the ground to provide life-saving aid to the affected civilians in Gaza. You can donate to help Palestinians get food supplies, safe drinking water, emergency medical supplies and more.

Médicins sans Frontières

Médecins Sans Frontières brings medical humanitarian assistance to victims of conflict, natural disasters, epidemics, or healthcare exclusion.

They provide healthcare services in the H2 area, in Hebron City, where Palestinian residents’ movements are subject to restrictions that severely impede their access to healthcare. They also started running mobile clinics to address the health needs of communities in Masafer Yatta, who are facing home demolitions and an increased risk of forcible transfer.

They have 367 staff in Palestine and they assist people affected by burns and trauma with a multi-disciplinary approach, which can include surgical care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, health education, and psychosocial support.

Taawon

Palestine’s largest non-profit organization with over USD 660 million disbursed over the years. They have educational programs, community building, restoration of historical buildings in Jerusalem, and investing in Youth Empowerment programs in Palestine. They work with 200 organizational partners that help 1,000,000 Palestinians on an annual basis.

Medical Aid for Palestinians

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a UK non-profit charity registered organization that works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.

They provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system. Medical Aid for Palestinians is responding to the current emergency in Gaza and across the occupied Palestinian territory. They are now in Egypt where their team has procured over US$1 million of medical supplies for Gaza. These supplies have begun to arrive in Gaza via the Rafah crossing and are being delivered to hospitals, where they are desperately needed.

United Palestinian Appeal

UPA seeks to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan, and to contribute to the long-term socioeconomic and cultural development of Palestinian society.

They have many programs to help Palestine people including health and wellness, education, community, and more.

They are a long-standing non-profit 501c organization for 40 years and their offices are located in Washington DC. (Tax deductible)

UNICEF

Although there is a bit of controversy about this organization and whether they are helping Palestinians, I will still be putting their link here. There are documented videos of UNICEF aiding people in Gaza and I will still recommend people to donate to this organization in hopes they are helping Palestinians.

On December 1st, 2023 they delivered medical supplies, water, diapers & sanitary pads for communities to the south of the Gaza Strip. UNICEF & its partners are working tirelessly to bring lifesaving supplies & improve the living conditions at shelters & critical medical services in hospitals.

No matter their political agenda as long as they are providing humanitarian relief we must as a community help these organizations by donating.

UNRWA is an organization that has been in the forefront of humanitarian relief in Gaza. UNRWA USA lifts up the voices, experiences, and humanity of Palestine refugees to secure American support for resources essential to every human being, for the promise of a better life. They work with united nations relief and other work agencies to provide aid to people of Palestine.

Any amount will help others, so don’t hesitate to even give a small amount because that small amount will make a difference.
